Our Mission
To provide families and educators with the skills they need to support and include children with developmental and behavioral challenges.
Our Purpose
Whole Child Behavioral Interventions, Inc. uses a behavioral approach across all therapeutic treatment methods to create comprehensive treatment plans that address developmental delays and concerns, behavioral challenges, and other mental health needs. It is our goal to provide early intervention services for children and their families providing them with a holistic approach, collaborating with others to improve overall outcomes.
Our Vision
We will work to create a collaborative clinic which reaches across different therapeutic methods to guarantee a holistic approach based in behavior analysis, ensuring consistency across all environments.
What Sets Us Apart?
There are several things that set WCBI apart from other behavioral therapy companies in the area. First we are a small company which allows us to provide our clients and staff with more individualized care and attention. We know your name, who is working with you, and what your needs are. We only hire highly professional and educated individuals to work for our company. We will not simply hire someone to fill an opening. We care about who is representing our company and who we are entrusting our clients to. We respect and support our staff providing them with a competitive salary and scheduling that works for them and their families. Lastly, we understand the importance of collaboration and will work with any and all therapists/caregivers who provide care to our clients. Collaboration ensures a holistic approach and improving outcomes.
Statement on Social Injustice
Whole Child Behavioral Interventions is an inclusive organization. As an organization we refuse to tolerate any act of racism, sexism, homophobia, or any act or acts targeted towards any group of human beings. We pride ourselves on being a company made up of women, men, people of color, members of the LGBTQ+ community, single parents, and people representing multiple faiths. It is our goal to serve the families we work with and our community to the best of our ability which means acknowledging our own biases and privilege. We strive to objectively analyze behavior and address target behaviors based on their function as well as the radical behavioral idea that even individuals with Autism experience internal emotions that impact the presentation of their behaviors. Our code of ethics demands that we do not engage in any form of discrimination, that we do knowingly engage in harassing or demeaning behavior towards any persons with whom we interact client or otherwise, and that we recognize our own problems or conflicts that may interfere with our effectiveness (bacb.com). Any employee or applicant who does not uphold our professional code of ethics is not welcome as a member of our team and any family who acts in violation of these guidelines will be asked to seek services from another provider.
That being said, as a team we will continue to have conversations regarding race and color and how these pieces impact our view of ourselves and the world we live in as well as the services we provide. We will be reaching out to our racially and ethnically diverse group of employees to learn how, as a company, we can better ourselves and the work that we do. We refuse to stand by and allow acts of police brutality to go unacknowledged. We formally and publicly denounce the use of violence against any individual and ask that other ABA providers join us in the fight against racial injustice in our Country.
